If you are selling your Burbank home or business property, effective for all new sales after December 13, 2022, both the seller and the buyer of the property will need to certify that the property meets or exceeds the following water use standards:

Compliance is the responsibility of the seller/transferor.  The process by which the property seller certifies compliance with this Ordinance is through the Retrofit Upon Resale Certificate of Compliance.  Click on the link below to download this form.  There are no fees associated with filing this Certificate.  Please be aware that compliance with this Ordinance is a condition of escrow; sale of the property is contingent upon completing and filing this Certificate of Compliance.

• BWP’s Home Improvement Program provides Burbank residents with the installation of high-efficiency water and energy devices, including showerheads and aerators, all at no cost. Call (747) 277-1599 to schedule an appointment.

• Contact BWP at the number above or visit the Metropolitan Water District website for information on high-efficiency toilet and urinal rebates.
