Burbank Water and Power has partnered with TreePeople to offer a discount on their self-contained kit, which is designed to make native landscape transformation accessible, affordable, and hassle-free. This program will help residents reduce water usage, beautify the urban environment, and support native plant nurseries across Southern California. 

Until sold out, Burbank Water and Power (BWP) customers can preorder six different themed kits, each priced at $120 before rebates. BWP customers are eligible for an instant $60 rebate per kit, with a limit of up to 10 kits per household. All kits will be available for pick up only on November 1st at BWP's Eco-campus, located at 164 W Magnolia Blvd in Burbank.

1. Visit the Tree People Native Garden Kit website, click “Determine your rebate eligibility,” and fill out the form.

   1. If you are in BWP's area, you will see a pop-up screen with the image below.

2. IMPORTANT NOTE: Within two business days, you will receive an email with instructions on how to access the rebate offer. The supply is limited, so please check your email regularly. The instructions contain three steps to reserve the kit:

   1. Create an account using the same email address.
   2. Verify your account.
   3. Click on the link to pre-order your kits. The native garden kit is available for pick up only. "Ship" is the default option, so you must click on the "Pick Up" radio button and then wait for the options to appear. The “Pick Up” location will say 12601 Mulholland Drive (TreePeople’s address), but this is for inventory purposes only. Pick up will occur in BWP’s Magnolia parking lot, located at 164 W Magnolia Blvd.

Instructions to pick up your Kits

1. On Monday, October 6th, you will receive a separate email with details and a link to select a pick up time for your kit from BWP’s Magnolia parking lot, located at 164 W. Magnolia Blvd, Burbank.

2. Bring a physical or digital copy of your BWP bill to show proof of your purchase while picking up the kits.

3. Pick up date: The distribution event will be on Saturday, November 1st, 2025.
