Trimming Trees Near Power Lines is Dangerous

Never trim trees that have power lines going through them, are touching power lines, or might fall into power lines when trimmed. Tree trimming must be performed by a qualified professional that is certified to work around high-voltage electrical lines when a tree has grown into a power line. To report trees that are near power lines, please call BWP Electric Service at (818) 238-3575.

Tree Clearance in High-Risk Fire Areas

Trees and vegetation must be kept to a minimum of 4 feet away from BWP’s power lines year-round in Burbank's high-risk fire areas. Before the 2020 fire season begins, we are asking all customers located within this fire zone to trim any trees that are not in compliance by May 31, 2020.
