There will be separate charges for the building permit fees and BWP fees. There is a Plan Check Fee; BWP charges Aid-in Construction (AIC) and Capacity Charges as described in the rules and regulations and the citywide fee schedule. Both charges vary by the type of work and size of the water service. AIC for a typical meter upgrade from 5/8” x ¾” to ¾” x ¾” upgrade is around $500. A service upgrade typically ranges between $7,000 and $18,000 depending on if a “Water Main Replacement Fees” is required. Other fees may be applicable, please review BWP The Rules and Regulations or you may request help at [email protected].

Building Supply Line is on customer property, begins at outlet side of the water meter and connects to the front of the dwelling before entering the building.

Once you have received a Cost Estimate Letter, you can visit the cashier at the BWP lobby at 164 W. Magnolia Blvd., Burbank, CA 91502, to make the payment. Payments are by cash or check only. You may also mail a check payment or drop it in a BWP collection box, and you must include the Cost Estimate Letter along with your payment.

Once all fees are paid you must reach out to Cross Connection Control Specialist at [email protected] to verify all backflow requirements have been met.
If the property has more than one water service you are likely to need a backflow device. You may request help at [email protected] if you have any questions.
The planner who Planned checked your permit added the BSL size on the “Condition of Approval “comments when approving permit (ProjectDox).
