SMART CONTROLLERS have a weather based sensor and use various programming methods to eliminate excessive watering and wasteful runoff. Weather Based Irrigation Controller (less than 1 acre): $80.00 Rebate Weather Based Irrigation Controller (1 acre or greater): $25 per station Rebate ROTATING NOZZLES apply water much more slowly and uniformly than conventional spray nozzles, allowing the water to soak into the ground instead of evaporating or creating run off. $3 Rebate per rotating nozzles. Synthetic turf– Synthetic turf (also known as artificial grass) is a manufactured grass substitute for landscapes. You may be more familiar with applications of synthetic turf on athletic fields, but there are ways to use it in your own residential landscape as well. Installing synthetic turf can help reduce water use associated with irrigation and can also eliminate the need or pesticides and fertilizers.
